The VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy is a vocationally related qualification that will prepare you to gain employment as an advanced senior beauty therapist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. Entry on to this qualification can be via previous attainment of a beauty therapy qualification at level 3 or Anatomy & Physiology.

Course duration: Part-time, 1 day per week for 5 weeks

Course requirements: Level 3 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over. For all, learners are required to hold a Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification or equivalent; this should include facial electrical and body electrical units, and Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology (for the Level 4 Certificate in Skin Peeling, at a minimum learners should hold a Level 2 facial unit and Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology).

The Assessment for this course will consist of:

Internal Test Question Paper: Demonstrating knowledge for hair removal and skin rejuvenation treatments.
Assignments: Written questions demonstrating your underpinning knowledge for each unit and must be word processed.
Ranges: All ranges must be covered, for hair removal a minimum of 10 practical treatments are needed to cover all the essential ranges. For skin rejuvenation, approximately 10 practical treatments are needed to cover all the essential ranges.
Observations: 3 observations of practical assessments for hair removal and 3 observations of practical assessments for skin rejuvenation.
